I've spent a lot of time in the barbershop because my brother owns one. I loved stopping by and hanging out because conversations in the barbershop were so enlightening for me. The rules and regulations of relationships and the truth and lies were simply incredible.
One of the main topics that always came up when I visited was about the faithfulness of men or should I say the lack there of. My childhood friend would always tell me that I live in a delusional world if I think any man is faithful. All while him being in a full fledged relationship! Where is your girlfriend so I can tell her she should run, and run FAST?! And don't get it twisted I know men cheat, but ALL? My argument was always that I know plenty of men that don't cheat to which their argument was, they just haven't been caught yet.
To all the men that think all men cheat stop using that as an excuse to do it, just be single. Why is it so hard to be committed to a woman you love? Why is it so hard to honor that commitment, stay true to that commitment? Why is it so hard to tell her that you can't keep that commitment so she can find someone else who will? Why is it so hard to just not make the commitment in the first place so she can avoid all the bullshit?
And please don't tell me you can't commit because a lot of you cheating men have discipline for everything else in your life. You regular negros are disciplined to wake up and go to work everyday. (well some of you! LOL) Athletes are disciplined in their diet & working out. Rappers are disciplined to spend late nights in the studio trying to produce a hit record. So much so, they sleep in the damn studio. Speaking of rappers, Waka Flacka became vegan but still couldn't keep his penis in his pants. Vegan! Do you know how hard that is? Help me Jesus! So miss me with the crap that you can't commit. The fact is you just don't want to. Actually, you know you don't have to be faithful because she's not leaving your ass anyway. (Cue the wedding music while Tammy walks down the aisle to Waka.) No shade.
It took time for me to realize that men get married for your loyalty, not theirs. They want someone that will be there when they come home. They want someone who will be their "ride or die". They want someone to be there to pick up the pieces. They want someone to be there to encourage them. They want someone to be there to love them unconditionally. They want someone to be there to support them. They want someone to just always be there. Cause that type of woman unfortunately sticks around even when you are unfaithful. That type of woman believes you will change and gives you countless chances in hopes that you will eventually take your commitment seriously. That kind of woman is Khloe Kardashian. No shade.
So I have no problem with the men that can't be faithful, I just ask that you keep your unfaithful ass to yourself. I also ask that you keep that same energy when she finds out you've been cheating and cheats on you with your friend. Actually with these women these days, it will probably be your dad. Ha.
