Masking is an important part of my skincare routine. I keep in stock several types of masks and keep them all in the fridge. Yes, I said fridge! Trust me, you will thank me later. I have a Cooluli Mini Fridge for my skincare and I am not saying you should buy one. (Although it is phenomenal) But you can just use the fridge in your kitchen. So let's get started. But first, seriously how cute is this fridge?

Anyway, when thinking about masks, there are so many to choose from but we will focus on the most common categories; brightening, hydration, clarifying and calming. And you can either get sheet masks which are so easy because you simply put them on and take them off. Or other masks where you apply the "clay" or cream to your face and then rinse it off. This Is just a little more work but you can move around without it falling off unlike some sheet masks.

Brightening is exactly what it sounds like! Giving your skin more life and more light! If you have dark spots or think your skin is dull, a brightening mask can really help. It gives your skin that instant glow and radiance. I have a lot masks that I love, but here are my faves!

Lapcos Pearl Brighten Mask
Belif Overnight Brighten Mask

Hydration is always needed to contribute to a healthy, dewy glow. Hydration helps your skin to be more plump and supple which keeps wrinkles at bay. I love incorporating a hydration mask at least once every other week in the summer and once a week in the winter.  I live for my face to look & feel nourished and replenished. Here are a few of my faves.

Clarifying gives you a deep cleanse to help with breakouts and prevent future breakouts. My favorite clarifying mask is actually drugstore! Consistently I use my L'Oreal mask just on my nose and the areas directly around it. That specific area gets super congested for me because I wear glasses everyday. I only use it on my whole face maybe once a month. When I do get breakouts I use a mask from Murad because it speeds up the process to get rid of them. Check them out.

Calming, the most underrated of masks! This That Beauty talked about how people sleep on this type of mask and I could not agree more. Most people think why does my skin need to be calmed? LOL Well here is your answer. I recently had extremely irritated skin and I could not think of what happened to cause it (probably from a tool, LOL). I was trying to think of a way to heal it and I remembered I had an aloe sheet mask. That mask gave me so much relief and literally calmed my skin, it was perfect. I think sometimes we do so much to our skin especially if you have acne and we forget when we do all these treatments, we need to make sure to soothe the skin. Check out this goodie below.

Oh, but don't forget about your eyes! I usually do my eye masks in the morning for a boost! Eye masks can fight puffiness, dark circles and bring brightness. Here are my absolute faves!
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Eye Patches
Patchology FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels

So those are my choices! You should keep these handy and mask at least once a week. Keeping them in the fridge is such an added bonus because the cooling helps with soothing the skin and providing more moisture! Also, if you have a Beauty Bio Microneedler, then you want to needle right before the mask. This helps the mask and all its ingredients to penetrate the surface of the skin.

For a bonus here are some mask variety sets that I love!

As always I hope this helps your skincare journey!
