The other night during my skincare routine I sat and thought about all the things I've done to get here. My skin has never been clearer, brighter, or more healthy. I mean the obvious is drinking more water and washing my face, but there are some specific products and tools I've used that truthfully took my skin over the top. I wanted to share those things with you.
#5. Urban Skin RX Combination Bar When I actually first used this cleansing bar, it was called the Anti-Aging Bar. They have 3 different bars and I actually purchased all 3. Just a quick tip, you need all products to address all concerns. So I have acne products in stock when I do get that breakout. I have moisture products in stock when I do get a little dry. You cannot use your same cleanser and other products when they do not specifically address your needs. So have your normal routine but purchase some just in case products. Just in case you get a pimple, just in case you experience redness. But anyway these cleansing bars put me on track because it covered everything!. They not only cleanse your face, but also can be used as a scrub and a mask. It covered a multitude of steps with just one product. This helped in the beginning because I was trying to keep it simple.
#4. Hello Ava Beauty. This brand allowed me to discover the right products for my skin. After answering a series of questions, you then text back and forth with an estetician who will put together a list of products for you to try. They show you drugstore to high end, whatever fits your budget. I enjoyed this process so much especially because it put me onto products I never heard of or would've thought to try. They do the hard part for you! I speak with all my friends and they just want to be told what to buy and Hello Ava does that!
#3 BeautyBio This entire brand has really been amazing. Using their microneedling tool has really enhanced my skincare routine. The microneedler is a tool that can cause your skincare products to absorb 200x better. It also helps with the regeneration of the skin and so many other benefits. Although this product is simply incredible, it still isn't in my top 5 (it's #6 though!)). But their R45 product is. This retinol routine completely shifted my skin to be more bright, more smooth and overall more vibrant. Retinol is so important in your skincare routine. It helps to produce and maintain collagen. And the most important part about the R45 is that it produces results. Partner this product with the microneedler and you have a match made in heaven!
#2 Dermaflash This product is so damn good I don't even know where to start!.To put it plain and simple, this product shaves your face! LOL. We all have hair on our face and that prevents our skin from being as smooth as possible. But not only does this product shave the peach fuzz but it exfoliates your skin as well. After one use with this tool your skin is smooth as butter. When I first bought it I loved it so much that I used it every week. (PLEASE DON'T DO THAT!) If you wear makeup, try this product before application and you will definitely be sold!
#1 Consistency. In January 2018 I visited Urban Skin in Charlotte and purchased some products. I spent a pretty penny and told myself, don't waste this money if you're not going to take the time to care for your skin every day. So I flew home and started simple, just washing my face morning and night, a little serum and then moisturizer. After about 30 days I saw my skin change. Certain breakout areas stopped breaking out & people started complimenting me more. Obsessed with the results I started researching more products and investing more. I knew just like with anything else if I stayed consistent it can only get better and it has. So I encourage you to commit to the process, it is so worth it.
